Liam is an associate attorney at McKee Morgan. He joined the firm in 2023 upon admission to the Maine Bar. Liam’s focus is on criminal defense. A Maine native, Liam was born and raised in Bangor, Maine.
Liam graduated with distinction from Saint Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia, Canada with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a minor in Philosophy. While at Saint Francis Xavier University, Liam was a member of the varsity soccer team and an Academic-All Canadian. Liam spent his final summer before graduating working for Senator Angus King (I-ME) in Washington D.C. After graduating from Saint Francis Xavier University, Liam earned his law degree from Maine Law, receiving a special endorsement for completing over 80 hours of pro bono service while in law school.
While in law school, Liam developed a particular interest in criminal law. Liam interned with the Carroll County Attorney’s Office in Ossipee, New Hampshire while also serving as an intake volunteer at the Cumberland Legal Aid Clinic. Liam then completed a year-long internship with the Cumberland County District Attorney’s Office where he developed an intimate familiarity with the criminal process. While serving as a student attorney with the District Attorney’s Office, Liam co-authored a brief for the Law Court that was successfully upheld. He also regularly handled arraignments and dispositional conferences, and prepared for several trials, which included selecting multiple juries and preparing witnesses, among other things. Liam spent hundreds of hours in the courtroom gaining experience and a comfortability that few attorneys have upon graduation. Liam also served as treasurer for the Maine Association for Public Interest Law (MAPIL) while in law school.
Outside of work Liam enjoys staying active any way he can and exploring all that Maine has to offer. Liam is also a CrossFit coach in his spare time and an avid movie buff.
